Challenges Faced During Emergencies in Pakistan

Pakistan is prone to various humanitarian emergencies, including natural disasters such as floods

Displacement and Shelter: Millions of people are displaced from their homes during emergencies, facing urgent needs for shelter, food, and essential services.
Healthcare and Sanitation: Access to healthcare and sanitation facilities is often disrupted during emergencies, leading to increased risks of disease outbreaks and public health crises.
Food Insecurity: Food supplies may be disrupted, leading to shortages and food insecurity among affected populations, particularly vulnerable groups such as children, women, and the elderly.
Psycho-social Support: Communities affected by emergencies may experience trauma, grief, and mental health challenges, requiring psycho-social support and counselling to cope with their experiences and rebuild their lives.
